The bulk of the winter holidays are behind us and there’s only the new year rapidly approaching. This will be the last newsletter for the year. Again, I want to thank everyone for their support on the back half of this year as I switched gears and careers. I quite literally could not have done it without your support. So, here’s to you and the new year and everything that it will bring.
What I’m Playing
I’m slowly working my way through The Witcher 3 and still having a grand time. There is an obscene amount of content in it.
With the holidays, there was a lull in the population playing Final Fantasy XIV, which was nice. I was able to log in and play without having to wait an hour or two in the queue. I got my machinist up to 90 and began working on my white mage. Of course, as of yesterday, the login servers became a mess once again.
The Master Chief Collection was added to my library thanks to a friend and we started the Reach campaign on legendary difficult. I’m garbage at it, but am impressed at how well it holds up. Despite the multiplayer never hooking me, I always liked playing through the campaigns.
What I’m Watching
Shockingly not much. With the holidays, I haven’t had much time to sit down and watch anything. We did watch The Matrix Resurrections and it was kind of meh. It tries to be meta, but takes too long to get going. And once that train starts, it doesn’t end up anywhere interesting. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t good. Kind of the definition of an unnecessary sequel.
