Zero Lives - 2022/02/28

My oh my. Two months into 2022 and we still have a plague and now WWIII looms on the horizon. What a time to be alive. At least I can feel a little less guilty about working in the entertainment industry.

It’s been a busy week. I started on with Pro Game Guides and have been gobbling up the Destiny 2 expansion. Look forward to plenty of coverage in the very near future. But enough wasting time, let’s get to it.

What I’m Playing

With the launch of The Witch Queen expansion in Destiny 2, it’s been a non-stop battle against Savathun and her Hive. This is likely the best expansion that Bungie has released in the history of the series and is a perfect time for folks to get back into the game.

For those new to it…there might be an issue as there is a lot of lore that needs to be understood to fully comprehend what is happening. Due to the way that Bungie opted to tell the story through lore cards, another game, and now with cut content…it can be more than a little confusing to try and piece together.

That being said, I’m hooked. The campaign was brilliant and left me with my jaw agape at several moments. The legendary campaign is brutal. It took the bulk of two days to progress through with a dedicated fireteam and now we’re stuck on the last mission. I can only imagine the sweet relief when we finally beat it.

What I’m Watching

The King’s Man was surprisingly good. I had low expectations after walking out of the first film but this won me over. A great little period piece about WWI with an interesting twist. The only real complaint was the over-the-top music. Otherwise, a great watch.

Attack on Titan is in full endgame and I just want more. I can’t imagine there are too many episodes left. The final pieces are moving into place and I can’t wait to see how it plays out.
