Another week is in the bag! I don’t have much to say outside our usual segments. I feel perpetually tired and am working to fight that. Ghost dropped a new album, Impera and I’m very torn on it. Most of the songs have taken me a while to warm up to them and the album as a whole has a very 80’s rock vibe to it. I know that Ghost is always changing their sound, but this one is…taking some getting used to.

What I’m Playing

Destiny 2 has me fully in its grasp. I’ve fallen in love with my Warlock and have been going through the past content to get them caught up. I’m about halfway through the season pass, which is a record pace for me. This is the best Destiny has been in a long time.

Lost Ark is a forced play for work. I don’t like it, but it pays the bills.

Mass Effect was grabbed as part of the EA membership on Steam. I’m hoping I can binge it in a month or two and only pay a fraction of what I would otherwise. There is so much I forgot about this trilogy. The first one is still clunky as all get out, so I’m hoping that gets better in Mass Effect 2. The real question is who I seduce on this playthrough.

What I’m Watching

Preacher is utterly bonkers and I’m saddened it took me so long to get around to it. The wife and I have been binging it and we’re almost done with the first season. There are three more to go and I’m dying to know what happens.

The Batman was unexpectedly good. I went in with low expectations and holy hell, it was so good. It doesn’t feel like a Batman film. Honestly, you could probably take Batman out of it and just have Jim Gordon going up against the Riddler and it would have been just as good. That’s because, at its core, this is a detective movie. Paul Dano is brilliant and incredibly creepy and brings a great twist to the character of the Riddler. I’d argue that this may be the best Batman movie thus far.
