That’s another week in the bag. Busy week. Lots done with lots more to do. It feels like I’m riding a constant high when I look back and do these. I thrive on feeling productive. It makes me realize that I’m at a very good point in my life and I’m doing my best to enjoy it.

I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of wrestling. It started with watching clips of Japanese wrestling. The clip I wanted to show you is apparently restricted to mature audiences, so you’ll have to settle for this one instead.

The antics are astounding. I’ve gone down such a rabbit hole that I now know names and signature moves. It’s bad. I’ve subscribed to a wrestling channel in a language I don’t understand where the clips are more sexual assault than anything else.

This then led me to fully embracing AEW star, Danhausen. Western wrestling isn’t my bag, but Danhausen hits that sweet spot of spooky and goofy for me. Much like Ghost, Gwarsenio Hall, and the Misfits, I’m a sucker for facepaint and silly antics.

What I’m Playing

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is starting to lose its charm. Mostly because I’ve had to play it so much for work, but also because I’ve found no one to play it with. SHiFT continues to crap the bed on a regular basis, so matchmaking is simply not working. Not to say that it isn’t a fun game, I’ve simply wrung the life out of this one.

Daemon X Machina was an unexpected purchase. I bought Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Epic as it was on sale and I’ve been wanting it since it was announced. Well, the Epic launcher required authorization from Uplay. So, I go through that process of connecting the accounts just to receive an error from Epic. Rinse and repeat several times and it still doesn’t work. Literally unable to play the game, I try to process a refund only to find that Epic refunds money to their wallet. So, with my money stuck on their platform, I opted to purchase another game.

Daemon X Machina is an arcade-style mech game. Being in the thrall of Gundam fever at the moment, I’m digging it. There is a ton of customization to be had here. It feels like a very deep game that I’m only scratching the surface of. Still, if you’re a fan of mech games, give this one a shot.

I worked through each of the endings of Sucker for Love: First Date for work and I absolutely hate Chapter 2. It’s a confusing mess trying to unlock all seven endings.

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition was a hit with the boy! I’m hoping that it can act as a gateway drug and get him into the Zelda series.

What I’m Watching

Looks like I was right and Attack on Titan is getting a PART 3 to its “final season.” I canceled my CrunchyRoll subscription and will wait until the showrunners decide when it will actually be over.

Family movie night consisted of “The Willoughbys” which was a delightful family film based on the book by Lois Lowry. The cast of characters was lovable and it had the whole family giggling with glee.

The Always Sunny grind continues. I’m now into season nine and just past the halfway mark. Still funny.
