I have a crippling addiction to tiny toy robots. This addiction has led me to dark places (Microsoft Excel) to further my addiction and track which ones I have and don’t have. I’ve cleared my town and the surrounding area of their inventory and bookmarked online retailers for those remaining.

I even reorganized the office to properly display them and installed lighting. I need help.

Otherwise, it was a super productive week. I even got more work done over the weekend. This denied me a day off, but the paycheck should be nice. Plus, it hardly feels like work when all I do is write about video games.

What I’m Playing

Midnight Ghost Hunt was disappointing. I had been looking forward to it for at least a year, and it ultimately wasn’t what I thought it would be. I was hoping for a goofy, spooky Prop Hunt. Instead, it’s a mess of 4v4 that is just kind of bland. It’s not awful, but it’s not great. I will say that it looks amazing though. Far better than I thought it would. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.

Outside of work and friends playing, I think I’m done with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Like Destiny 2, it quickly became repetitive, especially as I tried to grind all 20 Chaos levels. It’s fun, but I think I’ve had all the solo fun I can.

Daemon X Machina is still scratching that Gundam itch. The story is bland as all get out and the combat is starting to get stale as I’m now just fighting one or two other mech suits each mission. What I really want is Zone of the Enders, but there’s an issue with the audio and Bluetooth, so it’s literally unplayable for me.

After doing several articles on Halo Infinite I ended up reinstalling the multiplayer portion and have been having fun with that. It’s a casual interest, but I’m enjoying the PvP. I’m not getting outright stomped like in Destiny and I don’t have to install 200GB worth of game like Call of Duty.

I’ve had an itch for Resident Evil that I’m going to have to address soon. It really makes me sad that Resistance didn’t get the love it deserved.

What I’m Watching

Season three of Preacher is finally over and it was anything but satisfying. Though it was only 10 episodes, each dragged and didn’t feel like it was moving the story forward in any meaningful way. Here’s hoping the fourth and final season isn’t as disappointing.
