It’s a new week and a new Gundam has found its way into my orphanage for wayward figures. This month’s selection was the RX-0 Unicorn. I think I still prefer the Banshee variation more, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t look amazing on the shelf.

But the Unicorn isn’t the only figure I recently purchased. I got some poseable models to help with drawing. In fact, the Miles Morales piece below was made using the male figure. I’m hoping this helps with perspective and livening up my artwork.

The female is much smaller and more fragile than I would have liked. I understand that since they’re sold as a pair, they’re meant to be posed together, but I would have been much happier with each being a 7” figure. Oh well.

Finally, I’ve been dabbling with VTube Studio. It started as research for an article, but I’ve since fallen in love with my little kitty avatar. It’s gotten me back into streaming and I like that I can have something represent me without having to use my actual face.

What I’m Playing

So much. So much is what I’m playing.

I’m still working through the story modes in Street Fighter V. I couldn’t care less about the story, but I love seeing those checkmarks noting that I’ve completed something. I’m getting better with Juri and she’s definitely my main now. I was also pleasantly surprised at the bundle that gave me literally every purchasable character, stage, and cosmetic for $35. It was a huge savings and curbed my desire to purchase things like Cammy’s Jill Valentine outfit.

I broke down and purchased Elden Ring and have been playing through it with a friend. I’m not a super big fan of the open world and lack of direction, so having him act as a tour guide has been fantastic. I definitely don’t think I would play it solo. It’s just not grabbing me. That being said, the co-op has been a ton of fun.

Call of Duty: Vanguard went on sale and I nabbed that. I always forget how good CoD campaigns are and this one is no different. It’s a lot more cinematic than anticipated, but it’s gorgeous to look at and the voice acting is on point. Even if I don’t touch the multiplayer much, the campaign has been worth the $35.
