Thanksgiving Edition

Sorry for not getting this out earlier, things have been hectic. But, with some downtime before holiday activities, I thought I should spend some time with you and maybe give you something to read while you’re digesting all that food.

The good mood continues, which is both surprising and welcome. That’s led me to start work on another project I’m hoping to reveal next week. Stay tuned!

What I’m Playing

God of War Ragnarok - I finally slogged my way through it and I can’t figure out why I didn’t fall in love with this one. I’m going to save the bulk of my thoughts for the review, but suffice it to say, I did not like Ragnarok. It had all the right ingredients but didn’t grab me at all.

World of Warcraft - Fuck me, I’m back into WoW, aren’t I? The world event leading up to the new expansion has allowed me to level all of my alts to the max, so ignore what I said last week. I think I’m acclimated to the new systems, so I’m ready to lose myself to this game once again.

House Flipper - Digitial crack. Where Ragnarok failed to capture me, House Flipper has consumed my soul. I stayed up until 2am the other night, just playing level after level. This is going to be another Powerwash Simulator for me. Pro tip? The game doesn’t care where you place items. So if you want to burn through levels super fast, dump each room’s contents in one spot and call it good.

Trombone Champ - Much like House Flipper, this one has absorbed me entirely. I can’t get through a level without cackling like a fiend.

Marvel Snap - I’m still working through the tutorial, but this seems like the game I’ve been looking for on mobile. I will update you accordingly.

Destiny 2 - Whelp, that was a surprisingly short and disappointing community event. Rightly so, the community is turning on Bungie, yet again, for introducing a grind and failing to award players appropriately for it. I saw that someone suggested we’re in need of a hard reset for Destiny 2 and I’m inclined to agree. Something has gotta give.

Dead by Daylight - New Killer, The Knight, looks fun and I like the idea behind them, but like every Killer that isn’t the Doctor, I am absolute garbage with them. That being said, bots have been added so I can practice without getting abused by the community at large.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - The Shoothouse map has been added and I am all for it. This will be a good fallback, like video game junk food, for when I want something quick and easy.

What I’m Watching

The Grand Tour - It’s essentially feel-good television. We pop these on when we can’t decide what to watch or just want something on in the background and before we know it, we’re engrossed in it. Utterly ridiculous and always entertaining, it’s hard to top the trio of Jeremy, Richard, and James.

She Hulk Attorney At Law - After resetting our Disney+ password and getting back in, we’ve opted to get back into Marvel. We didn’t really know what to expect with this one, but it’s good. Each episode gets a chuckle or several out of us and I can’t fathom why the Internet turned on this show. But, as we know, the Internet is prone to do some very dumb things.
