I am an abject failure.

Where is my snow!? I know we’re not likely to get it for another month or two, but still, Winter NEEDS snow. I want to sit at my desk and watch the snowfall as I sip a hot chocolate. Ah well, wish in one hand…

We’re only three editions of the newsletter away from a new year. It’s scary to think about how quickly time is passing. It simultaneously seems like ages ago and yesterday that it was Thanksgiving. Despite my loathing of the Christmas season encroaching on other holidays and now spreading past Halloween, it is still only of my favorite holidays, so I’m not quite ready for it to be over yet. Hence me wanting some snow.

There’s something about being snug in your home with some gentle music and pretty lights twinkling. It’s a magical time of the year. Part of that is embodied by games and their portrayal of the holidays. Particularly, I’m looking forward to Destiny 2’s The Dawning and World of Warcraft’s equivalent. I don’t know, it just adds a little something extra that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I guess that’s three paragraphs of me saying I’m in the holiday spirit and overall in a pretty good mood. This is despite seeing my fat, flabby form in a changing room mirror and subsequently letting my day get ruined over the weekend. Oh well, such is life for someone who hates dieting and exercise with a passion.

What I’m Playing

World of Warcraft - I’ve reached level 70 and have completed three of the four zones. My pally is almost ready for heroics and I finally have my drake. things are really looking up for this expansion and I heartily recommend it to anyone considering getting back into WoW. I did dabble with changing my pally to a lady, which is usually my go-to, but it just didn’t feel right for whatever reason. He’s been a guy for years now and despite being super pretty as a lady, it just wasn’t the way it was meant to be. Still, kudos to Blizzard for adding the option and making it free. And as I write this, I realize I have a few other characters that actually might be better as the fairer sex.

House Flipper - I’ve knocked out just about everything there is to do in the main game and the expansions. I’ve flipped houses owned by the likes of Dracula, Kevin McAllister, Walter White, and more. I’ve only a little left and the developer announced that we’re getting a farm expansion in March plus a House Flipper 2 sometime in 2023. I’m so happy I decided to give this game a shot.

Trombone Champ - I’m just about finished with the quests in this game and figured out how to mod it. That being said, One-Winged Angel is utterly amazing both to listen to and play. The whole secret quest line is hilarious and despite needing a guide, was a ton of fun to play through and figure out.

The Callisto Protocol - Dead Space Jr. has a lot of growing to do. It’s not a good game by any stretch of the imagination. Check out my review here.

Marvel Snap - I’m starting to get it. I downloaded it for my desktop via Steam and it plays just as well as it does on mobile. Strangely, it’s making me want to play Hearthstone again, and I REALLY don’t want to do that.

What I’m Watching

She Hulk Attorney At Law - It’s the show that keeps getting better and better. At some point, I’m going to leave my wife in the dust and binge this one.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - In preparation of watching Andor, we decided to watch Rogue One. I fell asleep in the theater when I first watched it and we needed to split this viewing into two parts because it was…what it is. But, everything I hear about Andor says it’s worth it.
